Mount Abu Tourism

Mount Abu is the exception in Rajasthan: a green hill station at 1,220 metres in the Aravallis, where the temperature drops ten degrees the moment you start the climb. The Dilwara Jain temples here contain some of the most extraordinary marble carving in India, and the town itself is small, walkable and built around a lake.

Why Visit Mount Abu

  • The Dilwara Temples — eleventh to thirteenth century marble carving of a quality that is hard to overstate.
  • The coolest place in Rajasthan, and a genuine relief in the shoulder seasons.
  • Guru Shikhar, the highest point in the Aravalli range at 1,722 m.
  • An easy pairing with Udaipur, four hours away by road.
